THE SPRING BREAK CHRONICLES: NEARING THE END

So, I guess so much for doing the blog thing everyday...HA!!!

Well to sum up the past few days...I'd say I had a pretty good Spring Break. A little shopping, a little work, a little cardboard sliding, and a little headache.

I'll try post a few pics of the break later, just wanted to do a little update right now.

THE SPRING BREAK CHORNICLES: STUPIDITY MAY BE A RECESSIVE TRAIT IN MY FAMILY

So, this week was set to be a pretty lax break for me, with the exception of my Accounting group which still hasn't got back to me on meeting. YAY! Anyway, so today, I was feeling pretty good, I woke up at a pretty descent hour...took a shower and then was watching the ever adicting America's Next Top Model.

Made plans with Sherryl to do something...didn't know what, but we knew something in town, so I started on my way out the door, to go to her house since she lives closer to town, and she would drive because I had the huge car because my parents were working. As I was going out the garage door, I realized that I didn't have the keys, so when I went back in, I found that they weren't on the hook. Now I knew that my dad carries like all the keys around after we got burgled a few months back, but I was positive that he would know to leave the keys with me because I was home, and may need to leave the house at some point in the day...so I call the parents up...come to fnd out father has the friggen keys. What a jackass! Unless the thinking of other people benefits them, no one has to do it...

So that ruined my day...to say the least. So Sherryl was nice enough to come out my way and we ate at Chili's in Waikele, caught the trolley, and ended up spending way too much money on clothes! Darn...

Well I ended up buying a few things-each piece under $10 (YAY?):
  • Faux Leather Clutch from Charlotte Russe, which I have to clean...it was $3, worth the cleaning
  • Wrap Sweater Thing from Everblue...would also bought a jacket, but the lady was mean
  • 2 Tops from Levi's
Not too much, but still something for myself on this crapy day. Maybe I'll do an entry on the restoration of the clutch...it's pretty you know...for one of those fancy nights out (one day).

Hopefully tomorrow at work will be okay...and not like today. Hope the rest of you are enjoying your spring break like you should be!

THE SPRING BREAK CHRONICLES: DAY ONE

So today...what a day it was.

Started off when I woke up, checked my email to verify the start/end times for the Performing Arts Exhibit at the opening of the Center for Okinawan Studies at UH Manoa today, and was shocked to see that the thing ends at 12:00pm, not 11:00 am like I thought...me and my bad reading skills (I keep telling myself...you gotta read till the end of the line dammit!!!). Anyway, that was a slight damper in my plans with my dance friend, Kelsey who I told I'd be done @ 11...poo!

Well after this thing ran totally late, I rushed over to Sensei's house for my weekly dance lessons. It was nice without Dazzman, only because I guess that one more person...it really squishes things up in Sensei's dojo...but sill I feel I am not getting the attention I need to become a better dancer...it sucks, but I guess Sensei has high hopes for the granddaughters...

After class, Kelsey and I were having issues decide on a place to eat, and Tori had her movie night thing tonight so we had to hurry up and think. I dunno who, but someone finally decided on Bravo, and so Tori, Liko, and Grandma came along with us. Grandma is so funny! She ordered a lasagna and totally hated it, complaining about every aspect of the damn thing! But it was so funny! I was totally stuffed after that one, I could hardly drive home...good thing it wasn't that much more to go!

So I went to Foodland before heading home to buy ground corriander, extra virgin olive oil, and tahini. Gosh!!! I didn't even know what tahini even is!!! I need it to make edamame hummus, if you were wondering. But anyway, if you ever need the stuff, it's in the Jams & Jellies area at Foodland in Waipio...HA!!!

Well...about half an hour after I got home (stuffed like a pig ready for the imu), my parents made me go along with them to Chilis...so I just ordered the cheese fries, which I so couldn't finish, but I made sure (like usual) that I got my money's worth on the bottomless beverage. I swear restaurants must hate me because if there are bottomless drinks, I always try and get refills until I got it down to about one dollar a drink...and that's what I did!

So that was my wonderful Saturday. Hopefully my Spring Break goes well...we'll see!

Friday, March 20, 2009

So this weekend will be an interesting one I believe. I have the opening of the Center for Okinawan Studies at UH Manoa tomorrow. Gonna be watching the performing arts exhibit.

NEXT WEEK: SPRING BREAK BABY!!!

Since they decided to screw me over @ work, I shall be only working on Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll be celebrating a birthday on Wednesday...I shall bring soybeans! So since I am so free next week, hopefully me and my friends can go out and do some stuff this break! YAY!!!

Okay so that's it for now...if I don't get a chance to update this weekend...hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
